Account sync between KaB forum/login <-> EQEmu login has been added.  Use the form on the lower right hand corner (or http://www.eqpvp.com/syncacct.php).  Enter your KaB credentials, get a key to use on your EQEmu account.  Follow the instructions provided!

The world server now supports the standard unpatched client for characters levels less than 40.  Should you exceed level 39 you will be required to use the patch to play.  Please note that without the client patch the team colored names and some other features will not function properly.

Since it has been requested I have made a dual login solution to eqemu.  The patch will still be required as instructed here http://www.eqpvp.com/index.php/topic,44.0.html.  Make sure to create a second directory if you need to login to other servers.

 There are plans to allow a Kings and Bandits forum account to sync characters to a EQEmu Login Account in the future.  You must use your KaB forum account for characters created under that account, EQEmu will have its own characters but in the same world.

Can you explain this further in regards to "same world".

the world server is communicating to both login servers.

We take in accounts from both login servers but everyone will be still in the same world despite which login server they arrive from.

The problem right now is you can't use both login servers to get at the same characters, they are unique to the login server.

No you can't login characters from other servers.  I am saying that we have our world server (which is what you see at the server select) available on both KaB and EQEmu's Official LS.  The characters however are not synched, so if you use your forum account here, your characters are tied to this forum account.

no, there were a lot of code changes required to make this work.

I have to say I am impressed... on VZTZ we wanted an alternate login forever... since at the time Emu login was always down... sick

Goes to show you what asking can get accomplished with skilled devs.  I wish we could get more input and cooperation from players who have decided to leave this server so that we can get some of them back.  Personally, as a player, I am agreeable to any changes that would get a good bunch of people back.   The biggest reason I support K and B is the aggressiveness of the Devs when it comes to cheaters.  What fun is competition when one side is cheating?  What good is  gear when no one else is on to fight against?
